Another entry! *Gasp*
Anyhow, not a whole lot new going on in our household. Meredith is still fighting sleep like a pro. However, she HAS made it thru at least until the morning without being thirsty or without leaving her Elmo bed. Such a big girl!!
I had a dentist appointment this morning for which Da-da babysat. Of course I had everything ready...clean cups, living room was clean, food was ready. And who slept the whole time? Mere. But, that's alright! She's sleeping again now, so hopefully there will be no late afternoon power nap that will give her the energy to stay up all night.
I've been re-reading Twilight vicariously through Jennifer the past week or so. She's totally addicted now. Finally, someone who shares my enthusiasm! (Without being overly teenage fangirly.) I bought the first of the Sookie Stackhouse vampire books last night at Barnes and Noble but haven't gotten around to reading more than one page yet. It just won't be the same without Edward, Jacob, and Bella. We've already made plans to go see "New Moon" together the first time I come down to visit after it comes out in theaters.
And, in one month, Mere and I will be in SC - or on our way. Fun, fun. Hopefully we'll do plenty of exciting things between now and then so I don't feel like I'm wishing the summer away until American Idols Live and Meredith's family birthday party.
Speaking of AI Live - I believe they are replaying "Michael Jackson" week tonight at 8 pm, so you should probably tune in. If for no other reason than to see Adam Lambert's version of "Black or White" - and whatever song it was Matt Giraud sang. I don't remember which one it was, but it's MG, so I"m sure it was fantastic.
Back to business ... seeing how this is "The Adventures of Mere Bear". She is now saying pretty much anything. It seems like she could say anything, that is! Her newest things are "I want." when she wants something and "Dat", which translates from Merese to English as "Give me that." She also asks "Wheah?" everything is, completely with hand movements and shoulder shrug.
She's just the cutest thing ever.
And, after 48 hours in a bag of rice, cute purple Kodak has come back to life, though not as vibrant as it once was.
