Snow days and "fingun" paint

Let me just got ahead and promise for the 10th time that I WILL POST MORE. Go ahead and get that out of the way since I seem to do it every post. Maybe this time, in 2010, I will stick to it. Maybe! If I have some readers and some comments. :) Mere would appreciate that, I'm sure. :)

Since I last blogged we've had Thanksgiving, been to SC and back, had Christmas, and New Year's, so I won't post pictures from all that because I have about 1000 and I don't want to choose!

We've gotten a few snows which Mere has LOVED when we were able to go out! A lot of days it was just too cold, but we did get out in it a few times! It was really powdery snow so she was frustrated that she couldn't make "no-balls" or a "no-man", but she made do!

She was able to make this super-cool snow mound, which she proudly called her "no-ball". It would've probably been MUCH bigger, but she did NOT want to wear her waterproof mittens and her poor little "finguns" were getting cold quickly!

The snow was deep! I don't think I've seen that much snow in SC in YEARS! I loved it! It would've been much better if it didn't come with negative wind-chill temperatures, though! I think Mere was a tad amazed too! Not long after I took this picture, she decided to crawl through the snow! It was so fun watching her!

She also threw a lot of snow at Mommy. She'd grab handfuls and shout, "no-ball!" and giggle!

And, she was just SUPER-DUPER EXCITED this night, because we did this:

She sat still (well, sort of - you can tell from the lovely job I did painting) and let me paint her "finguns" and toes - and let them dry without getting any polish on anything else! WIN!

And yes, she was sitting on an air mattress in the living room, because that was also the night I decided to deflate the air mattress that we blew up when my family came to visit A. LONG. TIME. AGO. But alas, it's now in the storage closet so Mere no longer has a bed in her playroom.

Meredith has decided that she has to wear her 'pwincess cwown' all day, except to sleep. It is SO sweet because she puts it on upside down on the back of her head! If I try to put it on her the right way, she gets mad! I'll post a pic of that VERY soon. (the crown, not her mad...)

She's also started wanting to paint ALL the time. She painted a monster the other day that she was SO PROUD of! She kinda swishes the paintbrush (that she may or may not call a toothbrush) around on the paper, and then looks at whatever shape the paint made, and then tells you what it is.
