Things I Learned Today

I didn't think today would've be a particularly learning-filled day as I didn't open a single [non-children's] book, watch any more mind-challenging show than Operation Repo, or even google anything, but I did learn quite a few things that will come in handy in the future.

Such as...

- There are no more Gonna-Get-The-Whole-House-Clean-In-One-Day marathons at 29 weeks pregnant. This is because there's no more quickly switching laundry to the dryer, emptying the dishwasher, or picking up a few toys to take to Meredith's room, The kitchen alone will take hours. This is because I never realized the time it saves just to quickly bend over and pick something up.

- I learned that I will probably never remember that I cannot just bend over and pick something up anymore, which takes more time because I always go to just grab it and then have to take a second o regroup and figure out another way.

- Don't get on to your husband for opening the crock pot once to see what's in it. You'll jinx yourself.

- The worst time to find out your crock pot isn't working properly is when you go to get supper out of it that's been "cooking" all day.

- Zaxby's pleases everybody.

- I now completely understand why I saw a food filled crock pot in about ten pieces in the snow outside our apartment complex in Ohio.

- A three year old will attempt a 3 [hundred] point turn on her tricycle in the hallway for as long as it takes, no matter how long that is, rather than get off of it and let you turn it for her.

- A three year old in today's world will find it unacceptable that you do not have Internet when she sees the computer and wants to "play Nick, Jr." ".BUT YOU HAVE A COMPUTER!" I know, dear, I feel the same.

- 9/10 Nick, Jr. iPhone apps are bigger than 20 MB and therefore require wireless access to purchase. This will not go over well.

- Even after a SUPER BIG bedtime tantrum (didn't get that star today!) where she is SUPER MAD and insists therefore she will sleep in the floor with her pillow and blanket, as soon as you lay down, she'll be climbing over you into the bed like nothing happened.

And something GOOD I learned yesterday...

- it is now possible to take Meredith to an appointment with me and have her behave WONDERFULLY!

Ah, bliss. Even if just for a little while! :-)
